Customer Service is flawless and table is great

Florence Adams delivered AAA+ customer service -- during the holidays no less. The communication and assistance I received were top notch, I was sent free color samples, the price of the table could not be beat, and everything -- including a request for customization -- was executed to perfection. I cannot say enough good things about Florence Adams. If every electronic transaction was like this, the internet would be a more harmonious place. The table came today and I am generally very pleased. It is quite sturdy; looks like good furniture (as opposed to a cheap thing from Target); the design is definitely attractive (I opted for no shelf); the color combo is perfect for my kitchen, because the cherry finish/maple top mirrors my cabinets; and the 36-inch length is a great size for my space. I do have some issues with the workmanship. The maple pieces selected for the top could have been better. While I totally get that wood is a natural, imperfect product, there is a very deep, large notch on the underside of the table that, IMHO, should have disqualified the maple from being used, even though it can't be seen. Also, it looks like a piece of the maple on one edge was scratched or cut, then rubbed out. It is likely a natural blemish, but, again, if I worked quality control, I would have disqualified that wood from use. Also, the finish at the top edge of the drawer and under the feet is rough. I actually think the feet are rough enough to potentially scratch my wood floors, so I put felt pads on the bottom of each leg (did not want to have to hammer in the metal gliders that came with, because I thought they might make the table slide on wood). The scratchy part of the drawer can be felt when the drawer is used, which is disappointing. Overall though, not big deals. I mention these issues simply to explain that the table does not rate a 5 star -- but it is a solid 4-star. Overall, I am very happy! I expect a lot and Florence Adams delivered!
